Owensboro Floats past SS Swim team for the Win

With the team numbers somewhat closer to being evenly matched, Owensboro High School still swims to a victory against South Spencer.

The SS boys swim team had a number of 1st place finishes against Owensboro Thursday evening. Wyatt Morris finished 1st in the 100 yard butterfly as well as the 500 yard freestyle.  Dane Sitzman swam away with 1st place finishes in the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke.  The boys 400 free relay consisting of Morris, Sitzman, Josiah Greene and Cole Windbigler also took 1st place.

For the girls team, Junior, Brianna Mallory had a big night with 2 individual 1st place finishes, the 200 yard and 100 yard freestyle. She also was a member of the 400 yard freestyle team that took 1st place along with Jessica McGinnis, Gabby Blanchard and Maria Rust. Freshman, Alysia Thompson got on the board with a 3rd place finish in the 100 yard freestyle dropping the most time so far this season in an individual event, finishing 11 seconds under her previous attempts.
