Despite the team results several SS swimmers had individual wins and personal bests. Wyatt Morris (SR) took 1st in the 100 Butterfly. Dane Sitzman (JR) got 1st in the 100 Backstroke and 1st in the 50 Freestyle with a PB of 23.34. Gabby Blanchard (JR) got 1st in the 100 Breaststroke and 1st in the 200 Individual Medley with a PB of 2:48.84.

A few of the swimmers had some individual wins and personal bests. For the boys, Dane Sitzman finished 1st in the 50 Free with his personal best time of 23.78. Sitzman also finished 1st in the 100 Backstroke with a personal best of 1:03:52. The girls 400 Freestyle relay team also got a 1st place finish. That team is made up of Maria Rust, Gabby Blanchard, Jessica McGinnis and Brianna Mallory.

SS Swimmers fall short in first meet of 2015 to Tell City HS

Both SS Boys and Girls Swim teams lost to Tell City in the first meet of 2015. But even after a 2-week break from meets some SS swimmers still managed to get their personal best times.

For the girls, Brianna Scherer (FR) swam the 200 Free for the first time this season and got 3rd place. SS's Gabby Blanchard (JR) finshed 1st and Maria Rust (SO) finished 3rd in the 200 IM. Alysia Thompson (FR) finished 3rd in the 50 Free with her best time of the season. Maria Rust got 1st place in the 100 Butterfly. Jessica McGinnis (JR) got 2nd in the 500 Free and 3rd in the 100 Backstroke.

In the boys events, Dane Sitzman (JR) took 1st place in the 100 Backstroke.  Cole Windbigler got 1st in the 100 Breaststroke and 3rd in the 200 Free. Wyatt Morris got 2nd in the 100 Butterfly and 2nd in the 200 IM with his best time so far this season.
